Most of us consider our pets to be family members. The death of a beloved pet can be as emotionally difficult as anything we will ever experience in life. This can be much more trying when we have to make the decision to put our pet to sleep.

We all hope that when life ends our pet will go peacefully and quickly. Unfortunately, the quality of life sometimes ends long before death occurs. If medical treatment cannot restore a happy, comfortable life, sometimes the greatest gift we can give to our pet is to prevent a long, painful or unhappy existence.

Just knowing you have made the right decision does not make it easier. We all deal with these things differently, so we try to be as flexible as possible to minimize the stress to both you and your pet.
