I completed my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree at Kansas State University in 2002. I have a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Kansas State University as well. Since 2002, I have been practicing in Kansas and Missouri as a relief/temporary and part-time veterinarian for several hospitals and animal shelters. I am a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association.

My husband, Dan, and I have three children: Brandon, Carter and Emily. My kids are young right now so most of my free time is spent with them. When I do have free time, I enjoy scrapbooking, reading and gardening. We have three furry family members as well. As is the case with many veterinarians, Bandit, Duke and Willie the Wildcat have been added to our family over the years as a result of, as my husband would say, "being too soft-hearted".

My favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is getting to see the human-animal bond in action every day. I love that I get to be a part of strengthening that connection between an owner and pet.
