PUPPY WELLNESS PROGRAM

First Visit

(Six weeks of age or as soon as the puppy comes into your home)

  • Comprehensive physical examination & consultation
  • Discuss nutrition and feeding program
  • Discuss intestinal parasite prevention and treatment
  • Discuss flea / tick prevention
  • Discuss heartworm prevention
  • Discuss housetraining and socialization
  • Intestinal parasite test (need fecal specimen)
  • Vitamins
  • Puppy Information Packet
  • Super Puppy Book
Typical Vaccination Series

If your puppy is in good health, vaccinations are usually started at the time of the first visit. This schedule may vary depending upon the age of your puppy.

Initial visit (approx. 6 weeks of age)

  • DHPP Vaccination
  • Intestinal parasite medication
  • Flea & Tick Prevention (depending on weight)
  • Heartworm Prevention (depending on weight)

    3 weeks later (approx. 9 weeks of age)

  • Pediatric examination/consultation
  • Discuss training and puppy classes
  • SuperPuppy Goes to Class book
  • DHPP Vaccination
  • Bordetella Vaccination
  • Intestinal parasite medication
  • Flea & Tick Prevention (if due)
  • Heartworm Prevention (if due)

    3 weeks later (approx. 12 weeks of age)

  • Pediatric examination/consultation
  • Discuss and demonstrate dental care
  • Discuss and demonstrate microchip identification
  • DHLPP Vaccination
  • Intestinal parasite medication
  • Flea & Tick Prevention (if due)
  • Heartworm Prevention (if due)
  • Dental care kit (toothbrush and paste)
  • Oravet gel (sample tube)

    3 weeks later (approx. 15 weeks of age)

  • Pediatric examination/consultation
  • Discuss spay / neuter
  • Discuss lifetime health plan
  • DHLPP Vaccination
  • Rabies Vaccination
  • Intestinal parasite medication
  • Flea & Tick Prevention (if due)
  • Heartworm Prevention (if due)

    6 months of age

  • Spay / Neuter
